how much of you will be intact before/after You never 'win' with an abusive partner. There is never a moment where they say, 'Whoops, you got me.' They never admit, they never are contrite. They will press their issues on you, and keep pressing until you die or you leave. And if you resist, you are the problem. There is no converting them to decent behavior. You will be conquered or destroyed. Anyone who has been living with an abusive partner or been living with a serial cheater (or both) needs to know this, or needs to acknowledge this. There is no win. There is survival. There is escape. The question is: how much of you will be intact by the time you leave?
