A Little Common Decency, Please.

Welcome to GoLive CyberStudio 3 How come no one waves when you let them into your lane of traffic?

I always do. I do it obsessively. Maniacally almost, even while changing a cd, rolling a joint and smoking a ciggarrette.

Its just the polite, right thing to do. Its the smallest graces and convieniences that we allow each other that keep us from lashing out in fits of rage and impoliteness. Its little things like that which stop workplace shootings.

You never can tell when someone will go off and start frantically waving a snub-nosed .38 around in the air like its an orchestra conductor's wand instead of an instrument used to put holes in things, and it just may be this small act of consideration that preserves many lives.

I had a college buddy who actually got chased down the high-way furiously, and up an exit ramp.

Evidently, he didn't wave.

A red faced businessman pulled up beside him, rolled down his window and said, "Hey, buddy, when some one lets you into their lane...wave."

See what I mean?

Just don't be around when they go off.
