I've Got Your World Championship Trophies Right Here before/after They had the "world championship" of power boat racing in my town this weekend. (Much like the race they ran on the Danube...except here. World Championship my ass. Anytime these guys get together it has to be a "world championship". Laws of Supply and Demand rule, always.) It was a trite and pathetic affair, complete with an "insta-carnival", pit area, vip area, and general admission. The VIP area preyed upon the pretentiousness of the rich, and did quite well. Never underestimate the willingness of people to pay money so that other people know they have money. I, of course, opted for the 5 dollar general admission and went mullet hunting. So, so sad. The area was prime hunting grounds. That shit was like NASCAR on water. I put two of the trophies in the Picture of the Moment.
