Happy Good Fried-day before/after I want to be glib, but the mideast mess is infringing upon my mind. 16 year old girls blowing themselves up is not terrorisim. It is symptomatic of a severe level of cultural desperation due to oppression. Examine the economic data. Unemployment in the Palestinian terretories is about 50%. Freedom is limited. Checkpoints. Foreign military presence. Hope is non-existant. Cultures produce extreme phenomena when put under pressure, and this is a culture under pressure. As an example, I offer for consideration the orange-clad bhuddist monks who lit themselves on fire to protest the Veitnam War. Except this isn't old men with little societal use. These are cute little sixteen year old girls. Its all so sad. I wish people would just stop killing each other. "No! No! Killing people is bad. BAD! BAD extremist! BAD EXTREMIST!"
