Why do baseball managers wear the same uniform as the team, even though they sit on the bench the entire time?
Its not as if you see that anywhere else in sports. Hockey coaches don't wear pads and skates. Football coaches don't wear helmets. Even basketball coaches don't wear shorts and a wife beater on the sidelines.
Coaches generally wear professional attire. Usually suits and ties that cost as much as the down payment on a decent used car.
So, why with the uniform? Do baseball coaches just like to play dress-up?
