One fine day when this weary life is over I'll fly away. A two-bit player on God's celestial show, I'll fly away. Indeed. For true fan's of morbidity, one must look no farther than American Folk Music. Traditional songs, taught to children for years, and when one truly sits and reads the lyrics, only then can the darkness be comprehended. Punk has its priveledges, and death metal has its kitsch. Its just tough to beat a cultural influence like that. Young children, singing songs that reverberate with death...its a paradigm that makes me laugh when politicians tout family values. Family values? Didn't you guys buy Native American Scalps in Bulk at one point and time?
