Our First Marquee

We did five shows in four nights.

Got our first marquee.  The manager of the bar, Jim, took our picture as we stood underneath it, while the snow drifted down in fat, lazy circles, making the pavement wet and hiss as the cars went by.

"Your first marquee?  Really?"  Jim asked.

We nodded.

"Well, this is what I'm gonna do," he said, "We've got you on this marquee, and we'll put you on the one on the street over there, on the other side of the building.  You'll have TWO marquees."

He spoke with energy, like he always does.  With an enthusiasm that seems to come from nowhere.

Then he sniffed the sniff of the coke drip down the back of the throat, shook our hands, and walked inside.

He's a good guy, really.

Commercials are now running on the radio at 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 on four radio stations for us.
