"You know what they say! 'Truckers don't wear pants!'" -random co-worker.

I'm not really sure why he told me that, but he was enthusiastic, and
enthusiasm counts.  It almost passes for honesty these days, depending on
whom you ask.

Indeed, ask the Alabama judge who summarily dismissed defense objections to
his sewing of the ten commandments in large gold lettering to his black robe
for all to read.  He'll tell you.  The defense intends include the robe as
part of the appeal "...if we lose the case."

Which it is fine to see that the  constitutional rule of law has finally,
publicly  taken a backseat in this country to winning.  It always has since
the days of Andrew Jackson, but no one really had the gall to come right out
and say it, aside from Ol' Hickory.  Hell no, might made right for him in
those days, and he did as he pleased.  He killed indians and had whores
trucked in to keep his men happy during the campaigns.  Or maybe not.
Perhaps that was Grant with the gov't funded hookery.  In fact, Im sure it
was.  However, its impossible to tell the tale of war without mentioning
vagina somewhere in the telling.  Except for the greeks.  The greeks loved
cock.  In fact, fought and died for it.  Cock, on some strange level, is
intertwined with the Platonic ideal that a soldier would much more readily
fight and die for their lover rather than a comrade in arms.  And he was
right.  Look at Thermopolaye.

No, when Jackson got a ruling  from the Supreme Court that he didn't like,
he simply disregarded it.  He had the loyalty of the military and the brass
balls of a golem.

Either way,  it all speaks ill of the country, and of the state of affairs
of humankind in general.  Forcing your will on another should be considered
abhorrent, much like dismemberment for belonging to a specific tribe or
religion.  But we don't seem to be making much headway on that front,

either.

And how would you like to be a defendant, coming before someone who felt
they were guided by their god, chosen for the dispensation of justice.  Its
enough to make a person want to claw at the walls wailing until their
fingernails are bloody and teeth are gnashed to pieces until you are subdued
by the baliff and, hopefully, a sizable contingent of the local
constabulancy.  Because if one must go, please, please don't go quietly.
Watch  COPS.  It is instructional in these matters.

"No, sir, I didn't MEAN to drive drunk, its just that the bar is so far from
my home!"

"Off with his head."

What has this country come to?  I respect all religions, but keep it to
yourself.  Because you believe it, doesn't mean that I neccesarily have to,
or have to abide by your tenets.   Please don't force it on me.

Just because you believe it, doesn't mean its true.
