Could the footdragging in relation to the US policy towards North Korea and its naescent nuclear weapons program be an attempt by the current administration to justify its push and spending (in the face of a large tax cut enacted by the same administration) for a national missile sheild?

When I was a young child, third grade, attending rural parochial school, the teacher eagerly explained the story of the Great Flood, replete with Noah and his famous Ark.

"-and the entire world was covered with water from the rains of forty days and forty nights.  And the Ark landed on a mountain-, yes, Argentum?"

"Where did all the water go?"

"----...what do you mean?"

"If the entire world was covered with water, where did all the water go?"

It was one of the first times I remember experiencing doubt.  Had trouble with Jonah and the Fish story, too.

They got upset with me about Jonah and the Fish.
